Nasi Lemak Udara

This is the most altitudinous nasi lemak I've ever had in my life.

At 36,000 feet up it still tastes better than many other nasi lemaks at sea level.

At RM7.00 a pack it is pretty expensive, but then, so is jet fuel.

Here's how it looked before...

And after...

And here's the scenery while I ate...

And after I ate...

I can assure you that it is Very Delicious. The pieces of chicken are so tender and juicy. The lemak aroma is simply intoxicating. I hadn't intended to order anything, but when the aroma from other people's meals started to engulf the cabin, I had no choice. Haha. :P

The only thing it lacks is the cucumber, which has probably been removed from the menu since it can't remain fresh for long.

sue,

maybe at 36k feet, the change of pressure might have blurred his taste buds...or evoked certain olfacto-memories that mimic the 'real' nasi lemak...;p

He he...I can't believe that you actually bought nasi lemak on Air Asia...I'm to stingy to buy anything overpriced! Glad that you enjoyed it, tho :)

Yeah, the prices were sky-high, literally, but I wanted to try it and see what the hype was all about. I thought it was at least more worthwhile than buying a regular Maggi Mee-in-a-bowl for RM3.50!
